It is important to note that Secure Click cartridges should not be used in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH), sandblasting operations, or environments that contain particulates. However, when combined with D7N11 or D7P71 replaceable particulate filters and 3M D701 Filter Retainers, Secure Click cartridges can be used in environments with particulates.
To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to change Secure Click cartridges according to a well-documented change-out schedule. However, if there is a noticeable smell, taste, or irritation from contaminants, it is advised to replace the cartridges earlier. 3M offers a free online tool called 3M Select and Service Life Software (www.3M.com/sls) to assist in selecting the appropriate respirators, cartridges, and filters for workplace respiratory hazards.
